A Masterfully Aged Korenwijn

Korenwijn is an artisanal distillate with a rich history and character. To create this unique drink, it must consist of at least 51% double-distilled malt wine. We have chosen an even richer composition of 55% malt wine to achieve a full-bodied, layered flavor. During the second distillation process, we refined the malt wine with a carefully selected blend of botanicals, giving this korenwijn its own distinctive character.

A Unique Maturation in a Special Cask

On January 12, 2022, we filled a special American oak cask with our korenwijn. This cask has an impressive history: it was first used for years as a maturation barrel for Oloroso Jerez and later for our own whisky. The multiple uses of this cask result in an unparalleled complexity and depth of flavor—a rare technique that delivers exceptional results.

Exactly three years later, on January 12, 2025, we removed the korenwijn from the cask. After reduction to 38%, filtration, and bottling, the final result is a stunning limited edition. This exclusive korenwijn has a deep reddish-brown golden color and offers a refined tasting experience. Only 218 bottles of this unique product are available, each crafted with love and perfect for the true connoisseur.

Our Cask-Aged Korenwijn is a refined and complex drink, as confirmed by our tasting panel:

• Aroma: amber, orange peel, pecan nuts, banana, tree bark, marshmallows, hazelnut
• Taste: (salted) caramel, chocolate
• Finish: marzipan
